Hi there everyone, and thank you for stopping by Meridian Games, your super-duper small Zine publisher for OSR (Old School Renaissance) Roleplaying Games! With the budget of a pencil, paper, pen, and a free word processor, we pride ourselves in bringing imaginative and interesting zines for game masters and judges to use during their gaming sessions.
About
I’m Phil Padovani, and I started working on my first DCC (Dungeon Crawl Classics) zine back in November of 2022. After Running DCC Day in July and spending the coming months running DCC at “The Game Keep” in Hermitage TN, I found myself enjoying the OSR more than modern game mechanics.
After using a few zines during my games such as “Crawl” Magazine and “The Gongfarmers Almanac”, I thought it might be pretty neat to put some of my ideas on paper as well. Between lunch breaks, I’d use that time to create new classes, items, spells, and adventures to clear my head before heading back to work. Between that and drawing a few concepts (with the limited artistic ability that I have), I realized that I had a complete zine sitting in front of me. That’s how Meridian Games was born!
